SALLY O’GRADY
Sally is a director of commercials, branded content and documentaries. Clients include US Bank, Big Commerce, Hoka, Tito’s, Quicken Loans, ASICS, T Mobile and others. Sally has worked in the field of long form documentary for over ten years - producing a 2 hour special on the Oklahoma City Bombing for Rachel Maddow/ MSNBC and creating several history and science docs for the likes of Discovery, PBS and National Geographic.
Sally’s recent directorial work includes an ITVS/ Independent Lens piece for their Stories for Justice series and an independent documentary (The Trouble I See) about family separation through the prism of mass incarceration. She is also co-creator of a new series, Good Blood, (funded by ITVS and the Center for Public Broadcasting) about period poverty in the US. Sally’s independent non-fiction films have appeared at festivals in Europe, Australia and the United States. Her work is concerned with illuminating social issues in a visually unique manner.
She has previously worked as a health educator in her hometown, Sydney Australia at their first ever Medically Supervised Injecting Center working with street based drug users & sex workers. She now lives in Austin, TX with her very kind husband and stylish eleven year old son.
